Chapter 14
Slave Trader II
"This is Tsubaki and her younger sister Shion, Yamato-sama. They are warriors from the Ryujin clan." *
When the slave dealer told me to look at the two women again, one of them was sleeping on the bed, and only her face could be seen, but she was a beautiful girl with beautiful blue eyes and light blue hair. She's about 13 years old, and her face is as beautiful as a doll's. Perhaps she's the younger sister Shion.
The other is a beautiful young woman who sits next to the bed and is giving us... no... me a passionate gaze. Her blue eyes and long light blue hair are slightly darker than Shion's, and it is tied up behind her. I don't know if her chest is heavy, but the way her hands are crossed under her chest gave emphasis to her large chest. It's really a sight for sore eyes...
"Hello... My name is Yamato. It's a pleasure to meet you."
What should I add to my introduction? Maybe my hobby? Or perhaps what I do for a living? If so, can I introduce myself as an apothecary? Or maybe I can say that I'm a potion maker? I really don't know what to say anymore.
"Ara. A much younger kid appeared this time. Can this kid really fulfill my request?"
She puts her hand on her face and smiles erotically. I could honestly say that Tsubaki-san is really sexy. I didn't say that because she has an older woman's sex appeal, but even if she doesn't have any make-up on, she's still a peerless beauty.
I noticed that she has a lot of white like scales on the back of her hands and around her neck, but other than that, she doesn't look that much different from a human. Is this the reason why Melvin-san recommended them to be my bodyguard? But really, seeing them in person like this, I realized again that Isekai is really the best.
"Yamato-sama, these two are from the Ryujin clan. For them, trust is responded to with trust and favors are responded to with loyalty. and what they want is..."
"What I want is a treatment for my sister. It's fine even if she isn't even completely cured, but if she can have enough nutritious food and potions that can keep her condition from worsening and a place where she can rest to be at peace, then that's enough for me. That's all the things that I want. So, can you provide all of that?"
When she says food, does she mean food for a sick person? I wonder if I can find someone who specializes in cooking for a sick person? As for providing her potions, that isn't a problem for me, but her next request after that is quite problematic, because when she said a place where her sister can rest, I'm sure she didn't mean an inn or something similar, but a house. With the money I currently have, having a house is impossible right now. I wonder if there's a house that I can rent around here?
"Melvin-san, how much does it cost to have a house and a cook that can prepare nutritious meals?"
"Hmmm? Well, most of the cooks around here can do it with the proper ingredients. And if it's a house, there are several houses in the south district that you can rent for ten silver coins a month. "
After I spend 10 silver coins on renting a house, I will have twenty silver coins left. If that's not enough to cover the cost of the ingredients, then I can just sell my remaining potions.
"It looks like there won't be any problems."
"Wait, aren't you forgetting the most important part? What about the part about providing the potions?"
"That's not a problem because I can easily make them."
"Can you really make them? Forgive me for being rude, but what kind of potions can you make?"
It's normal for her to doubt me as her sister's condition is on the line. In that case, for me to convince her in the meantime, I'll just give her a D-rank potion that I made earlier. When I reached for my storage, I noticed that one bottle was broken. Did it get broken when Serga kicked me? Oh well, that doesn't matter right now as I still have two D-rank potions left.
When I approached Tsubaki to give her the potion, I could smell the sweet fragrance of flowers coming from her. With this, I really want her to be my bodyguard now.
"Are you the one who made this?"
"Yes, I don't have anything better than that right now, but I can make a better quality potion tomorrow."
When I said that to Tsubaki, everyone widened their eyes in surprise. Eh? Is it bad to say that? Melvin-san said earlier that there are people who can make C-class potions, right? And since Serga can make a D-rank potion, then it's not strange for me to create a C-rank potion, right?
"How often can you make this potion?"
"Hmmm? I can't say for sure right now, but I can definitely make them without a problem. For now, I can say that I can make four bottles of D-rank potion a day. tomorrow I can give you a definite number on how many potions I can make for a day. "
I already made four D-rank potions today, so I'm sure that I can at least make a minimum of four potions a day. I'll just see how many potions I can make in a day later at the inn, and I'll try it again tomorrow morning just to be sure.
"I see, and it doesn't look like you are lying.... Fufufu, Shion? Are you sure you're okay with him?"
"Yes, ane-sama. *cough* *cough* I have faith in your judgment, ane-sama. *cough* *cough*"
"Are you all right?" I'll give this potion to you, so please drink it immediately."
"Yamato-sama, you can't do that as we haven't signed the contract yet!"
"I see, that's right. Then there's no problem if I give it to you, so you can use it to her, right?"
If they are slaves, then their current owner is the slave trader. I guess it would cause a problem if I suddenly gave them a potion without their owners' approval.
"Hahaha, Melvin-sama, is it all right for you? Then Tsubaki, you have my permission to use that potion on your little sister. "
"I really appreciate it."
Tsubaki then looked at me and lowered her head. I feel really guilty about Tsubaki lowering her head towards me when her owner is inside the room with us.
I think doing that is really an exaggeration. After all, that's only a D-rank potion. Also, can a D-rank potion even cure her in the first place?
"Her illness is caused by the curse of an evil god, an incurable disease to be specific. She must be enduring it using the strong mental strength that the Ryujin tribe posses, but I'm sure she must be experiencing tremendous pain all over her body and using a potion can only relieve her of her pain temporarily. "
The heck is that? Isn't that too much? Is there any way to cure her completely? And in the first, is it really an incurable disease? If so, can it be cured with an A-rank potion?
"Thank you, Yamato-san, I'm feeling better now."
When she got up from the bed and smiled at me, her smile was so dazzling that it was blinding! Yeah! A sheltered princess has arrived!
"Do you like these girls, Yamato-sama?"
"Yes! I really like them very much!"
"Then, Yamato-sama, let's talk over there for a moment."
I left the room together with Melvin-san and the slave trader, and after a while, we entered the reception room at the end of the hall.
I was then offered to sit down on the sofa, and when I did so, Melvin-san and the slave trader sat down in front of me.
Wait, is Melvin-san on his side?
Note:
1. Ryujin roughly translates to Dragonmen or Dragon people.
2. Ane-sama is a formal way of saying elder sister.
3. The original description of Shion here is written as 深窓の令嬢 read as fukamado no reijo and literally translated as "deep window lady," and the word means that a lady is isolated in a deep place in the house and she's still not tainted by the world outside.
